USED RICKENBACKER / 4001V63 Fireglo [03]

We are pleased to announce the arrival of a used 4001V63, a reproduction of the famous 4001s made in 1963!

Rickenbacker has long been loved for its unique looks and sound that sets it apart from any other manufacturer.
This time, we have in stock "4001V63". This model is a reproduction of the 4001s released in 1963, with dot inlays, white-colored nut, and vintage-type bridge.
The serial number on the jack plate is "01 05692", indicating that it was made in 2001. However, the domestic distributor replied that if the jack plate has not been replaced, then it must be the 4001V63 model. We have no way to determine whether or not the jack plate has been replaced, but there is no evidence of such a replacement, so we assume that it was probably a late shipment at the time.

The body is made of maple with a maple thru-neck sandwiched by maple. The body weight is 4.26kg, which is a perfect balance of Rickenbacker's body. The front pickup is a so-called "toaster pickup" and the rear pickup is a "horseshoe" pickup. The sound is characterized by a warm and chic tone with an impression of quality and solidity, while at the same time, it also has a moderately sparkling nuance, and there is no doubt that this is a classic instrument of the past.

Both truss rods are functioning properly, and the neck is almost straight. The frets are slightly worn, but there are no playability issues.
Although the instrument is over 20 years old, there are only minor scratches on the entire body, small dents on the underside of the body, scratches on the underside of the neck, and minor scuffs and dings on the parts, and no replacement parts are found. There are almost no buckle marks, indicating that the instrument has been carefully played and stored.

This model was sadly discontinued about 25 years ago and is rarely seen on the market anymore.
