This is a special program offered by PRS, a system that allows certain guitar stores and dealers to order guitars customized to their own specifications.
Special options such as wood, finish, pickups, etc., can be selected that are not part of the regular lineup. This results in a limited number of unique PRS guitars being produced, each made to individual specifications and in special woods.

This particular guitar features 10Top grade flame maple for the top wood. Korina is used for the body back.

The neck is made of Korina as well as the body back. Based on the Pattern Vintage neck pattern, the width is the same but a little thicker, the treble string side is slightly shaved, and the bass string side is slightly thicker. The fingerboard is made of glossy ebony.

The fingerboard is made of shiny ebony. The Wood Library is able to produce a guitar with specifications not found on regular models, which is something that is unique to the Wood Library.

The McCarty III pickups are equipped with "McCarty lll" pickups, which produce a warm and mellow vintage sound.
The McCarty III pickups are the culmination of all the know-how that Paul Reed Smith and the PRS new product engineering team have accumulated in recent product development, from their long study of vintage pickups to their sound analysis and tuning technology improvements. The result is a new pickup that is the best of both worlds.

This particular model is packed with the kind of attention to detail that cannot be achieved in a regular model using the finest wood materials.
