Daiki Tsuneta, frontman of King Gnu and millennium parade, pursues his own ideal, and has completed a model based on the Japanese-made Swinger with significant customization. This signature model that recreates the originality of the Swinger is a limited edition for 2021, the 75th anniversary of Fender's founding.
The combination of the 24" scale and the lightweight basswood body makes it comfortable to play, and the metal-covered soapbar pickups give it a fat, hip sound that has earned Swinger's trust and been used on almost every recording session and stage performance since its completion.
In addition, the bridge is equipped with a dedicated syncronized tremolo and locking tuners that maintain stable tuning even during heavy arming, allowing for greater freedom of expression.
The maple fretboard, vintage white body, and 1-ply tortoiseshell pickguard all recreate the features and looks of the original, but at a price that makes it affordable, according to Tsuneda's own wishes.
The pickup covers are rusted and there are some signs of use, but the strings have been replaced with new ones and each part has been cleaned, maintained, and set up by our repair department after our arrival.
