USED FENDER JAPAN (-2015) / FB-555 Frost White Frost White [03]

FB-555, one of Fender Japan's most distinctive models, is now in stock in used condition!

This FB-555 was produced for a short period of time in the mid-1980s as part of Fender Japan's original "BOXER" series, and it has an eye-catching look that is uniquely Fender.

The body is made of basswood with one-piece maple neck and rosewood fingerboard with 24 frets. The pickups also have a distinctive look. The "Fender" printing can be seen on the cover, so there is no problem in assuming that it is original.
In addition to two volume controls and a toggle switch that appears to be a pickup selector, there is a TBX control at the very end, with 0 to 5 being the normal tone control and 6 to 10 being more trebly. If you are only familiar with basses, you may not be familiar with this control, but it is famous for being installed on Eric Clapton's guitar models.

Contrary to its appearance, the sound is more vintage. It has a crisp and open sound, with the treble register showing up better than the low and middle frequencies.

There is a strap pin on the first string side horn, a large paint crack on the bottom of the controls, and other scratches and dings throughout the instrument.
The nut has been replaced with a brass one.
The neck is in good condition. The truss rod works fine.

It has already been about 40 years since its production. The number of production is very few and the rarity is extremely high. Don't miss this opportunity!
