The RB series was produced in the so-called "Sadowsky Tokyo" era. Many people may think of the Metroline series that was manufactured in 2003 when talking about TYO, made in Japan. However, the RB series that we have just received was manufactured even earlier, in the 1990s.

Instead of the dinky shape that has become a symbol of Sadowsky, the most major size body was made of ash wood. The body is not chambered, and the total weight is 4.31kg. The bridge is made of BADASS. The bridge is equipped with a BADASS, enabling sound-making with a full low-mid and firm sound.

Controls are 1Volume, Selecter, and 2Band EQ. The Bass knob can be pushed/pulled to switch between active and passive modes, which is typical of Sadowsky. However, unlike the boost-only Bass knob, the Treble knob can be boosted or cut. Overall, the sound has a slight warmth compared to modern Sadowskys.

There are some dents, scratches, and dulled parts, but the operation is good. The neck is in good condition, and the truss rod is in good working order, so it will last for many years to come.
The joint plate and strap pins have been replaced. Especially, the joint plate has been replaced with "Tone Shift Plate SP-JP-03" made by Freedom, which is known for adding sustain extension and a sense of weight to the low-mids. The modification is expected to lead the character of the combination of ash, maple, and BADASS in a better direction.
