The Historic Collection, crafted by Gibson Custom Shop as a series of reissues of legendary instruments.
This time, we've acquired a used 1998 Gibson Custom Shop Historic Collection 1957 Les Paul Custom Ebony!

Featuring a mahogany body, mahogany neck, and ebony fingerboard—true to the '57 specs.
The neck profile features a thick C-shape typical of this vintage, offering a comfortable, grippy feel.
The tuning machines have been replaced from the originals to Schaller machines, and the nut and control knobs have also been replaced.

The finish color is the classic "Ebony" color.
Combined with the gold hardware befitting the top-tier Les Paul Custom, it boasts a luxurious look.

It features two pickups believed to be original "57 Classic" models.
These pickups recreate the vintage "PAF" sound, offering crisp highs and mids along with sweet harmonics.
The wiring has been replaced from the original, including 4 pots, 2 capacitors, and the jack.

Regarding condition, numerous scratches, dents, and areas of chipped paint are visible throughout. The binding shows discoloration and paint cracks.
Additionally, some binding on the sides of the fingerboard is missing. Parts show dullness and plating wear, and the switch panel has cracks.
Replaced parts, as mentioned above, include the tuners, nut, control knobs, pots, capacitors, and jack.
As this is a 1998 model, it does not come with a certificate of authenticity.
