A used Fernandes Burny Series MB-65 has just arrived!

Fernandes, a long-established Japanese brand. It's still fresh in our memory how the industry was thrown into turmoil in 2025 when news broke of the manufacturer's bankruptcy.
This newly arrived model is the MB-65 from the "Burny" series, Fernandes' flagship line of copy models.
As you can see, this is clearly modeled after the Mockingbird.

It features a maple body, maple neck, and rosewood fingerboard. The controls are configured as 2 Volume knobs, 1 Tone knob, and a Toggle Switch. While significantly simpler than the original Mockingbird, many players actually find this layout more intuitive and preferable.
It employs a PP pickup configuration, a specification that pays homage to the original.

The sound, contrary to its appearance, feels remarkably versatile. It enables universal sound shaping, delivering a finish that truly showcases the potential of the PP configuration, even setting aside its looks.

While the exact year of manufacture couldn't be determined, based on various information, it's estimated to be from the early 1990s.
There are signs of use: additional strap pin holes, scattered dents mainly around the body end, paint chips on the lower body, and some discoloration on the parts.
The neck, truss rod, and frets are all in good condition as-is.
