We’ve just received a used Japanese-made StingRay!

After Leo Fender left Fender, he incorporated his expertise in electrical engineering into the instrument itself, launching the StingRay as a new-era electric bass.
Although specifications have evolved since its debut, features such as the single pickup mounted near the bridge, the round pickguard, and the distinctive control panel have made it an iconic model, renowned not only for its sound but also for its appearance.

This is the StingRay EX, which was assembled and manufactured in Japan from the late 1990s to the early 2000s.
Although this model was introduced as a more affordable alternative to the U.S.-made version, it uses U.S.-made parts, ensuring impeccable quality.

It delivers the bright, sparkling sound everyone imagines when the EQ is boosted, and even with the EQ flat, it produces a tight, funky low-to-midrange tone that’s a pleasure to hear.

The neck is currently in good condition, but the truss rod is loosened by about half a turn.
Overall, the guitar shows signs of use, with numerous scratches and dents visible throughout the body and neck.

There are marks on the pickguard and body where a finger rest was attached. (The finger rest is not included.)
There are sticker marks on the body top.
