USED VALLEY ARTS / M SERIES EMG JJ BASS [03]

We’ve just received a used Valley Arts model that was once manufactured in Japan!

Valley Arts was founded in Los Angeles in the 1970s as a music store with an attached repair shop.
The "M Series" now in stock is part of the line manufactured in Japan from the 1980s to the 1990s by Kanda Shokai, which held the brand’s license.

Featuring a body believed to be made of ash and equipped with J-type EMG pickups, the active circuitry combined with the instrument’s weight produces a tight, well-defined sound.
The controls include volume, balance, and tone, plus a 2-band EQ for each pickup—a truly unique configuration.
Additionally, a rotary switch allows you to toggle between Passive, Active (front EQ only), Active (rear EQ only), and Active modes.

The jacks were replaced after the guitar arrived.
The neck condition and truss rod action are currently in good working order.
Overall, there are signs of use, and there are scratches and dents on the body and neck.
The case has some damage.
