USED K.YAIRI / YW-500P [03]

We have received a used K. Yairi YW500P manufactured in 1976.

It features a solid spruce top, a three-piece rosewood back and sides, and an ebony fingerboard and bridge.
True to vintage Yairi character, it has good volume and a trebly, crisp attack; however, being a Dreadnought, the sound is not harsh on the ears but rather pleasant to play.

As for its condition, there are scratches and dents throughout that are typical for its age. In particular, there is a fairly deep dent on the neck heel. There are areas of discoloration on the headstock, sides, and back.

The neck has some backward bowing in the area not covered by the truss rod, but there is no muffled sound, and it does not feel difficult to play.
There is a bulge under the bridge on the top, indicating that the top is lifting.

While there is little remaining saddle height, fret depth, and truss rod adjustment range, these issues are within the range of what can be fine-tuned.

Condition Grade B+: There are some scratches, but the instrument is suitable for normal use.
