For customers residing in Japan
We have just received a 1979 Fender USA Stratocaster. More than just a vintage guitar, this instrument captures the unique spirit of the late 1970s.
The lustrous sunburst finish reveals rich nuances depending on how the light hits it, exuding a dignified presence and character cultivated over many years.
The clear, responsive sound characteristic of a maple fingerboard beautifully defines the contours of each note—whether in chord work or lead playing—allowing you to fully enjoy the full-bodied tone unique to 1970s Fender guitars.
Furthermore, this particular instrument retains a high degree of originality. The only replaced parts are plastic components such as the pickguard and knobs; the wood and electronics retain a strong sense of the era’s atmosphere. It can truly be said to be an extremely valuable piece that conveys Fender’s sound design and manufacturing philosophy from 1979 to the present day. Although some solder joints have been reworked, the electronic components are original.

Late-70s Stratocasters are characterized by a slightly heavier body and a solid neck grip, offering a unique playing feel distinct from modern models. That solid feel and direct response allow the player’s nuances to be expressed without compromise.
