A Martin Custom Shop 00-18 has arrived.
This is one of Martin’s most popular small-body models. With a Sitka spruce top and mahogany sides and back, it’s widely favored by players ranging from fingerstyle to folk musicians.
This model features a deep body and slotted headstock, resulting in a thicker body than standard models. It is characterized by a richer bass response and a fuller, more resonant tone compared to the standard 00.
With its spruce top and mahogany sides and back, it produces a clear, warm sound that resonates well not only for fingerstyle but also for strumming. The deep-body design increases the low-end thickness and volume compared to the standard 00-18, giving it a “compact yet powerful” character—which is the major appeal of this model. The nut width is approximately 43mm.
Although there are some scratches and dents, it is in relatively good condition for a used instrument.
The bracing has been re-glued, and the frets have been leveled. Approximately 80% of the original fret height remains.
