A Rare Find! The Ibanez John Petrucci Model Has Arrived!!

John Petrucci, the ultra-virtuoso guitarist of Dream Theater—the very embodiment of progressive metal
While his signature Music Man models likely come to mind when thinking of his trademark style, the fact that an iconic Ibanez model existed in the very early days is still talked about among fans to this day.

The “Ibanez JPM100” signature model was released in 1995 but went out of production after just a few years.
It is characterized by a graphic on the body top inspired by Pablo Picasso’s “Guernica,” and is affectionately known among fans as the “Picasso Guitar.”

Among the various JPM100 models—designated P1 through P4—this particular model is the “P2,” which features soft, pastel-toned colors in its graphic design.

There were two versions: one produced for the Japanese market, featuring colorful pickups that matched John Petrucci’s personal setup at the time, and another produced for international markets, featuring black pickups. The instrument we’ve just received is believed to be the latter version.

A legendary series that supported the playing of the young John Petrucci.
