We’ve received a used YAMAHA APX900 UM.

Yamaha’s “APX” series of electro-acoustic guitars is designed for superior playability on stage. Among them, the APX900 is a high-end model featuring a solid spruce top, flamed maple sides and back, and a 3-Way A.R.T. pickup system.

Key specifications include a solid spruce top, flamed maple sides and back, a nato neck, and a rosewood fingerboard and bridge.

The pickup system features Yamaha’s proprietary A.R.T. (Acoustic Resonance Transducer) System 57. It features a 3-way configuration with a main pickup and bass- and treble-side sub-pickups, allowing for a wide range of sound shaping through the Master Volume, 3-band EQ, and mixing of the bass- and treble-side sub-pickups.

In terms of condition, there are signs of normal wear and tear associated with use, such as dents, scratches, scuffs, and tarnish on the metal parts.

There is slight warping visible on the top.

Since the instrument exhibited high string action upon arrival, we performed neck straightening and saddle adjustment in-house. String action at the 12th fret is approximately 2.5 mm on the 6th string and approximately 2.1 mm on the 1st string.

We have confirmed that the truss rod has approximately 50 degrees of remaining travel in the tightening direction. While adjustments are currently possible, the truss rod is somewhat stiff when tightening, and there is relatively little remaining adjustment range.

The frets maintain a playable height, with approximately 70% of their original depth remaining. We have also deburred the fret edges in-house.

There are no issues with the electronics.

The original gig case is included.
