The StingRay 5 is Music Man’s flagship 5-string model. In addition to the wide dynamic range unique to a 5-string, it boasts the powerful, punchy sound characteristic of the StingRay. With its humbucking pickups and active preamp, it delivers a rich, full-bodied sound that’s perfect for a wide range of musical genres.

This instrument was manufactured in 2003. It features the powerful sound unique to the StingRay 5H, along with solid, stable low-end response. With a focused attack and rich bass response, it’s a practical 5-string bass that holds its own even within a band ensemble. The subdued Vintage Sunburst finish is also a highlight.

In terms of condition, there is a large dent near the endpin and a prominent, large area of paint peeling on the top of the body. There are chips and peeling paint around the battery compartment and throughout the rest of the body. The parts show some dullness, and there are also minor scuffs and signs of wear. While there are visible signs of use, the truss rod is in good working order, and the instrument is in a condition that allows for worry-free play.
