A used 2018 John Mayer Signature Silver Sky Rosewood Frost has arrived!

The PRS Silver Sky is a guitar that incorporates PRS’s original single-coil pickups—designed to capture the sound of the vintage guitars from 1963–64 that John Mayer and Paul Reed Smith hold dear—while also embodying a design concept that sets it apart from past models.

Born from two years of repeated research and development, this Silver Sky features a distinct sound that both John and Paul sought to achieve, and it incorporates a wealth of original PRS parts designed and developed specifically to deliver this guitar’s unique tone and playability.

While the headstock shape is a PRS trademark, it has been redesigned as a reverse headstock to suit John Mayer’s playing style; at the same time, increasing the distance from the nut to the tuners further enhances tuning stability.

The tuners are PRS original pegs that feature the PRS Locking System, despite being traditional vintage-style Kluson-type tuners. The original steel tremolo sits flush against the body when the tremolo arm is in the neutral position.

The 635JM pickup is a PRS original developed exclusively for the Silver Sky, characterized by a wide dynamic range and a fat, crisp sound.

Additionally, the Silver Sky offers a choice of rosewood or maple fingerboards, both with a 7.25” fingerboard radius. The rosewood fingerboard neck features a slightly more rounded shoulder, creating a shape that fits more comfortably in the palm of the hand.

The completely original, molded jack plate—which allows for smooth plugging and unplugging—is a design feature born precisely from the instrument’s intended use in live performance.

Condition
There is minor paint peeling on the contoured portion of the body back, along with numerous fine scratches and small dents scattered throughout. Some dullness and rust are visible on other parts. Additionally, the strap pins have been replaced.

The neck, frets, truss rod, and all other components related to playability are in perfect condition.
Furthermore, upon arrival, our repair center performed a full adjustment and fret leveling, so you can use this instrument with confidence.
