Gibson Custom Shop EDS-1275 Double Neck

Production of the Double 12 began in 1957 as a custom-ordered model.
The original body was a hollow body, but in 1962, the specifications were changed to the well-known SG shape.
Since that time, the body has been made of one-piece mahogany, and the model introduced here follows the same specs.

Since it was originally made to order, various specs exist, but the one-piece mahogany neck, double-ring Cluson pegs, reflector knobs, etc. are all made to the same specifications.
The most common specs of the mid 60's are reproduced on this model.

The toggle switch in the center of the body is a pickup selector for both necks.
The switch on the cutaway side switches between the 6-string side, 6-string + 12-string, and 12-string side.

Both 12-string and 6-string side pickups are mounted with custom buckers.
The vintage-like sound combined with the vintage-style look makes this guitar very desirable to own.

The condition is quite good.
The finish is VOS, so there are some parts chinks, initial scratches, etc., but the guitar is quite clean.

Gibson Custom Shop EDS-1275 Double Neck

1957年より、カスタムオーダーモデルとして、通称Double 12は生産がスタート。
当初はホロウ・ボディでしたが、1962年より、皆様お馴染みのこのSGシェイプへと仕様変更がなされました。
その時代より、ボディは1ピース・マホガニーにて製作されていましたが、ご紹介の個体もモチロンそのスペックを踏襲しています。

元々オーダー品ですので、様々なスペックが存在いたしますが、1ピース・マホガニー・ネック、ダブル・リングのクルーソン・ペグやリフレクター・ノブなど
こちらの個体は、60年代中期の最も一般的なスペックで再現がされております。

ボディ中央にあるトグル・スイッチは両ネック共用のピックアップ・セレクター。
カッタウェイ側にあるスイッチが、6弦側/6弦+12弦/12弦側の切り替えとなっております。

ピックアップは、12弦側、6弦側共に、カスタムバッカーをマウント
ヴィンテージライクなサウンドと、ヴィンテージスタイルのルックスが相まって、非常に所有感をそそります。

状態はかなり良い状態でございます。
フィニッシュはVOS仕上げなので、パーツのクスミ、初期のスリ傷等ございますが、かなりきれいな個体となっております。
