1987年製 ProCo RAT Black Fece No Bracketsが中古にて入荷。
1978年に製造されて以来様々な仕様変更を重ね、現在でも多大な支持を集めるプロコのディストーションペダル、ラット。大きな変更では、市場に出てから83年まで筐体の大きい通称ラージボックス仕様でしたが、84年以降スモールボックスとなり現在のRATとして認識されている筐体となります。
本機はブラックフェイス期の終盤である1987年の仕様で、コントロール表記の枠線が無いNo Bracketsと呼ばれる外装となり、筐体はフラットトップと呼ばれる上面が平らな構造。
オペアンプはMotorola製LM308Nを使用し、ポットデイトはVolのみ判別可能で「R1378736」ポットステッカーもしっかりとあり、1987年製であることがわかります。
クランチ ファズ的サウンドまでサウンドメイキングの幅が広、エッジ感、高音域のザラつきが素晴らしいこの時期ならではのRAT1。この機会にいかがでしょうか。

A used 1987 ProCo RAT Black Face No Brackets has arrived in stock.
Since its introduction in 1978, ProCo’s RAT distortion pedal has undergone numerous specification changes and continues to enjoy a massive following today. A major change occurred in 1983: until then, it featured a larger enclosure known as the “Large Box” model, but starting in 1984, it switched to the “Small Box” design—the enclosure recognized as the current RAT.
This unit features the 1987 specification from the late Black Face era, with a "No Brackets" exterior—characterized by the absence of border lines around the control labels—and a "flat-top" enclosure with a flat top surface.
It uses a Motorola LM308N op-amp. The pot date is only identifiable on the volume control, and the "R1378736" pot sticker is clearly present, confirming that it was manufactured in 1987.
