This 2006 Gibson Custom Historic Collection SG Standard VOS Spec is in stock.
This one is characterized by the richness of the SG-like midrange and the blend of slightly sharp high frequencies.
Lightweight and thin for easy handling, this is a great example with an austere look with a sense of use.

Lightweight mahogany for the body/neck and rosewood for the fingerboard.
The set neck is a long tenon with a nut width of 42.8 mm, and the neck has a slightly thicker shape than the current SG Reissue for better grip.

The pegs are Kluson Double Line/Single Ring, the bridge is ABR-1 with retainers, and a stop bar tailpiece is used.
The pickups are "Burstbucker #1/#2" and the condenser is a Bumblebee replica.
The glossy front tone and crisp rear sound can be used for any genre of music from rock to jazz.

Overall, the paint is faded and there is still a reddish tint on the pickguard, under the tailpiece, and on the controls.
Metal parts are dull and rusted, and there is a paint crack next to the back panel. The body top has scratches and small dings from use; due to the VOS specifications, it is not possible to distinguish these from new signs of use.
There is a bulge around the 3rd string peg due to shrinkage of the hallou wood from age.

The truss rod is confirmed to turn 90 degrees both tightened and loosened, and there are approximately 70% frets remaining.
The shiny mahogany woodwork is beautiful, and combined with the burnt binding, it gives the instrument an old-fashioned feel. This is a great opportunity to own one!

SGらしい中域の豊かさとやや尖った高域のブレンドが特徴的な一本です。
軽量かつ薄型で取り回しもよく、使用感のある渋いルックスが素晴らしい逸品。

ボディ/ネックに軽量なマホガニー、指板にはローズウッドを使用。
セットネックはロングテノンで、ナット幅は42.8mm。ネックは現在のSG Reissueよりもやや肉厚でグリップの良いシェイプを採用。

ペグはKluson製Double Line/Single Ring、ブリッジはリテーナー有りのABR-1を使用し、ストップバー・テールピース仕様。
ピックアップには「Burstbucker ＃1/＃2」を搭載し、コンデンサーはバンブルビーレプリカを使用。
艷やかなフロントのトーンとキレの良いリアはロックからジャズなど、ジャンルを選ばず使用できるサウンド。

全体的にに塗装の褪色があり、ピックガードやテールピース下、コントロール部に赤味がまだ残っております。
金属パーツのくすみ、錆、バックパネル横に塗装クラックあり。ボディトップは使用に伴う傷や小さな打痕がございます。VOS仕様のため、新たにできた使用感との判別は付きかねます。
経年変化によるホールーウッドの収縮で3弦ペグ辺りに膨らみがございます。

トラスロッドは締め・緩めともに90度回ることを確認しており、フレットもおよそ約7割り程度残っております。
キラキラとしたマホガニーの杢も美しく、バインディングの焼けと相まってオールド感溢れる雰囲気を醸し出しております。この機会にぜひ！
