This model is the result of years of research, development, scanning, and interaction with the original instrument. Gibson Custom Shop's expert craftsmen have meticulously examined every shape, contour, inlay, and color of the priceless vintage instrument. The result is a great playing and ownership experience. The 1961 Reissue model boasts a number of exclusive features, including a rounded cutaway, a slim-taper neck profile based on scans of actual vintage instruments, dot inlays, and vintage replica parts.

The semi-acoustic ES-335 has been on the market since 1958.
At first, the ES-335 had a thicker neck without binding and was available in sunburst/natural, but the specifications changed as the years went by.
In 1961, the neck was changed to "Slim Taper," which is slightly thinner and easier to grip, and a rounded cutaway called "Mickey Mouse ears" was adopted.

The Historic Collection also recreates the vintage style, using laminated maple, spruce bracing, solid mahogany neck, rosewood fingerboard, glued with hide glue, and set neck with long tenon (deep joint). The head is made of Kluson Single Single Joint.

The head is equipped with Kluson Single Line and Double Ring tuners.
The dot inlay bound neck is slightly thin and easy to grip "Authentic '61 Skinny C-Shape," and the binding is rolled bound with the corners cut off. The smooth fingering is one of the strengths of the '61 ES-335, and is easy for anyone to play.

Custom Bucker pickups are mounted.
Vintage tone is very attractive.

The overall condition is good.
The neck is straight and the truss rod has been confirmed to be in working order.
