A 2010 Gibson Custom Shop 1960 Les Paul Special has arrived!
The Les Paul Special debuted in 1955 as the mid-range model in the Les Paul lineup.
Its simple design—featuring a solid body, two P-90 pickups, and a wrap-around bridge—enables intuitive playing and remains a favorite among many guitarists to this day.

The body is made of solid mahogany, the neck is mahogany, and the fingerboard is rosewood.
The headstock features the Gibson logo along with a silkscreen print of "Les Paul SPECIAL" and is equipped with Kluson-made Gibson Deluxe three-knob tuners.
The bound neck features a thick grip, dot position marks, and original medium jumbo frets.

It is equipped with two "P-90 Soapbar" pickups and features 2-volume/2-tone controls and a 3-way selector switch. A Bumblebee replica is used for the capacitor.

The finish is TV Yellow, a color adopted in the 1950s to look good on television, with a VOS finish.

While there are some scratches and dents from use, the guitar is in fully playable condition. Approximately 80% of the fret life remains, and we have confirmed that the truss rod turns 60 degrees in both directions.
