ATELIER Z Guitar Works M#265/18p Natural

We have received a used "M#265/18p" from the MAGNITUDE series by "Atelier Z," a Japanese brand favored by various artists both in Japan and abroad.

The M#265 is the 5-string version of the M#245, a model favored by players who frequently use slap technique.
It features the classic sound character of a jazz bass, capable of handling all musical styles, while inheriting the clear projection characteristic of vintage models. It also successfully brings out the distinct attack of slap playing with clarity. This model is crafted from materials that can keep pace with the wide dynamic range of high-end amplifiers.

This JB-type model, equipped with an active circuit, features a two-piece ash body and a one-piece maple neck, connected via a four-point detachable joint.
The nut width is 47.5 mm, with a 34-inch long scale, a 400R fingerboard radius, block position markers, and 21 medium-jumbo frets.
The “18p” in the model name refers to a string-to-string width of 18 mm.
The hardware is primarily chrome; it is equipped with Gotoh GB528-5 tuners and an ATELIER Z BB518 bridge.

It is equipped with two “ATELIER Z JBZ-5/18p” pickups and a “Bartolini XTCT” preamp. Controls include Master Volume (Balance), Master Tone, Active/Passive Switch, Middle Boost, Treble Control, and Bass Control.

The guitar is in good overall condition; the truss rod rotates 60 degrees in both directions, and approximately 80% of the frets remain.

The finish is “Natural,” which highlights the ash grain, with a glossy finish and an acrylic clear pickguard.
