1986 ALEMBIC EXPLOITER
This is a very rare model that will remain in deep memory because it was used by John Entwistle, a great bass player who always pursued the cutting edge of the times and contributed to the development of roundwound bass strings. Needless to say, the shape is inspired by the GIBSON EXPLORER, and the model name "EXPLOITER" is a cool and stylish name, isn't it?
This particular model uses KOA for the top wood, which is impressive for its beautifully detailed flaming. John's model had a spider-web shaped brass decoration embedded in the elbow, but this one is simply finished without any decoration. The circuit is also simple, with 1 VOL, 1 FILTER, and PU selector, and is powered only by batteries for ease of use. The sound is unique, with a wide range and a heavy airy feel, and of course, with the filter controller, the tones are infinite.
There are a few screw holes between the pickups on the 4th string side where finger rests were installed by a previous user. The overall beauty of the guitar remains and the brass bridge is still shiny.
This is one of the most memorable pieces born in the turbulent 80's.

ALEMBIC EXPLOITER
