David Thomas McNaught Guitars, a high-quality handmade guitar maker located in Locust Town, North Carolina, USA, is now offering a pre-owned Japan Limited model, Single Cut Junior.

This model is a flat top, so it is positioned as a low-priced model, but it is not just a low-priced model, it is a high-quality model that demonstrates the sound that only a flat top can have.

The main materials used are a diamond grade flame maple top and mahogany back body, which were carefully selected at the factory.
The eye-catching flamed maple top and mahogany backbody are made of diamond-grade flamed maple top and mahogany backbody, respectively, and the sharp flamed wood grain moves with the angle.
The back plate and neck heel cap are made of flame maple matching with the top.

The neck is also made of mahogany, and the fingerboard is made of Indian rosewood.
The fingerboard has side scalloped edges and the fret edges have been rounded off for a smooth and comfortable grip.
The fingerboard inlay is gold mother-of-pearl, which is not usually used in the lineup, giving it a high-class look.

The pickups are Bare Knuckle VHII set.
The pickups are mounted directly on the fretboard, so they provide the full sound of the entire guitar.
The hardware is also well done, and is unified in black, with Sperzel locking pegs and a Tone Pros bridge.
It has an excellent total balance from playability, tuning stability, and sound, and has a good sense of separation even with high-gain sounds as well as clean sounds, making it a high-quality instrument that can be used in various genres and scenes.

米国ノースカロライナ州Locustタウンにファクトリーを構えるハイクオリティ・ハンドメイド・ギターメーカー「David Thomas McNaught Guitars」のジャパン・リミテッドモデル、シングルカットジュニアが中古にて入荷です。

フラットトップですので、廉価版という位置付けのモデルにはなりますが、単なる廉価版には留まらないハイクオリティさと、フラットトップだからこそ持つサウンドをしっかりと発揮している1本となります。

主なマテリアルとして、ファクトリーにて厳選されたダイアモンドグレードのフレイムメイプルトップにマホガニーバックボディを採用。
角度によって動きのあるビシっとしたフレイムの杢目が目を引きます。
さらにバックプレートとネックヒールキャップにはトップとマッチングさせたフレイムメイプルにて製作がされており、かなり手の込んだ仕様です。

ネックにもマホガニー材を使用し、指板にはインディアンローズウッドを採用。
指板エッジ部はサイドスキャロップが入り、フレットエッジを丸める処理がされていますので、スムースな握り心地を実現しています。
指板インレイには通常ラインナップにはないゴールド・マザーオブパールを採用しており、高級感のあるルックスになってます。

ピックアップにはBare KnuckleのVHII setをマウント。
エスカッション付きのルックスですが実はダイレクトマウントとなっており、ギター全体の鳴りを余すこと無くアウトプットしてくれます。
ハードウェアにも抜かりは無く、ブラックで統一されパーツは、ペグにSperzelのロック式ペグ、ブリッジはTone Prosを搭載。
演奏性から、チューニングの安定性、サウンドといったトータルバランスに優れており、クリーンは勿論、ハイゲインサウンドでも分離感が良く、様々なジャンル・シーンにてお使いいただけるハイクオリティな1本です。
