100th Anniversary Centennial EDS-1275 Ebony, produced to commemorate Gibson's 100th anniversary, is now in stock!

The serial number of this model is 1925-7, and although it is a 1994 Centennial model, the Pre-Pack Checklist shows that this model was shipped in 1995, so it seems to have been produced between 1994 and 1995.

Production of the Double 12, as it is commonly known, began in 1957 as a custom-ordered model. The body was originally a hollow body, but in 1962, it was changed to the well-known SG shape. Since that time, the body has been made of mahogany, and of course, this particular model follows the same specifications.

The 100th anniversary model has a diamond dot over the Gibson logo "i" and the truss rod cover is engraved in gold. 100th logo is embedded above the 12th fretboard. The control knobs are also original knobs that are unique to this particular model. Also, a gold medallion is embedded on the back of the headstock. The tailpiece is engraved with the same number as the serial number, making it a one-of-a-kind piece that no two are alike.

The condition of the instrument is relatively clean, although there are some scratches and dents commensurate with the age of the instrument. Both PUs on the 6-string side have been replaced with Tom Holmes, and the 12-string side is probably a combination of 490R and 498T. The playing condition is good, including the truss rod.

This rarely seen 100th anniversary model is complete with all accessories including certificate of authenticity and Pre-Pack Checklist. Please consider this opportunity.

本機のシリアルは1925-7、1994年の100周年モデルですが本機の出荷はPre-Pack Checklistを見ると1995年になっていますので1994年から1995年にかけて製作された個体かと思われます。

1957年より、カスタムオーダーモデルとして、通称Double 12は生産がスタート。当初はホロウ・ボディでしたが、1962年より、お馴染みのこのSGシェイプへと仕様変更がなされました。その時代より、ボディはマホガニーにて製作されていましたが、本個体ももちろんそのスペックを踏襲しています。

100周年モデルということもあり、Gibsonロゴ「i」の上にダイヤモンドのドットが施され、トラスロッドカバーにはゴールドの刻印が施されています。12F上には100thのロゴが埋め込まれています。コントロールノブもこの個体ならではのオリジナルノブを採用しています。またヘッドストックの裏にはゴールドのメダリオンが埋め込まれているのも見逃せないポイントです。さらにテールピースはシリアルと同じ番号が刻印されており、同じものが2つとないオンリーワンに仕上がっています。

状態に関しては年式相応の傷や打痕などございますが、比較的キレイなコンディションを保っています。ゴールドパーツのクスミもある程度でしっかり光沢が残っています。6弦側のPUは両方ともTom Holmesに交換されています。12弦側は恐らく490R・498Tの組み合わせとなっています。プレイコンディションはトラスロッド含め良好です。
