Gibson Les Paul Custom made in 1978 is in stock!

The Les Paul Custom is one of Gibson's most popular electric guitars of the "Norlin period" after the parent company became Norlin in 1969.

The model has a large head, ebony fretboard, 3-piece maple neck, and maple top/mahogany back. The head/neck section is volute-treated, which is also a characteristic of this period.

The serial number is 71398503, and all Pot Dates are 137-7806 x 4, made in 1978. There were few 3PU models around this time, making it a rare piece. Furthermore, this model has a Bigsby installed, and has been modded with famous artists in mind. The Bigsby is a VIBRAMATE, which means that the vibrato unit is installed without making new screw holes in the body of the guitar. * No holes are drilled, but marks are left.
The original studs and tailpiece are also kept and can be put back.

All three pickups are engraved numbered PAF. pots, jacks and condensers are also original. Other replacement parts are pegs and strap pins. Both parts are original. The knob is also considered to be a replacement although it may be original since it is a barrel knob from around 1979. The neck is a 3 piece maple neck, and the back of the neck and the middle of the neck have been repainted.

There are some scratches and dents commensurate with its age, but it is in good playing condition, including the truss rod.

Gibsonの人気モデルとして音楽史に歴史を刻む、エレクトリック・ギターの代表的モデル「Les Paul Custom」。1969年に親会社がNorlinとなって以降の所謂"Norlin期"の1本です。

1970年代のモデルの特徴でもある大きなヘッドにエボニー指板、3ピースメイプルネック、メイプルトップ/マホガニーバックのマテリアル構成。ヘッド/ネック部のボリュート加工などもこの頃の特徴となっています。

シリアルは71398503、Pot Dateはすべて137-7806×4の1978年製の本機。この頃の3PUのモデルは少なく、珍しい個体です。さらに本機はビグスビーが取り付けられており、著名アーティストを意識したModがされています。ビグスビーに関してはVIBRAMATEを採用しており、ギターのボディに新たなネジ穴を空けることなくヴィブラートユニットを取り付けています。* 穴は空いていませんが跡は残ります。
オリジナルのスタッドやテールピースも保管していますので戻すことができるのも嬉しいポイントです。

ピックアップは3つとも刻印ナンバードPAF。ポット、ジャック、コンデンサーもオリジナルです。その他交換パーツはペグ、ストラップピン。どちらもオリジナルパーツが付属します。ノブも1979年頃からバレルノブになる為、オリジナルの可能性もございますが交換と判断しています。また、ネックは3ピースメイプルネックでネック裏、真ん中あたりを塗装修正しています。

状態に関しては年式相応のキズや打痕はございますが、トラスロッド含めプレイコンディションは良好です。
