USED Fender / 1974 Telecaster Custom Natural / Maple Fingerboard [05]

The Fender Telecaster Custom was introduced in the 1970s.
The Custom, which had adopted 1 single humbucker and 4 controls instead of 2 singles and 2 controls, has become a very popular model since its birth, combining the power of a humbucker with the edge of a single humbucker.

The one we have just received is from the plate serial period.
The neck date is 12053853 and it is stamped J.TORRES.
The body has Fender f mark and NATURAL stamped inside the cavity, which confirms that this is not a refinish but the original natural color.

Pickup date is 20XX74 on the front (some letters are blurred), and the rear pickup is mounted with gray bobbin, which cannot be confirmed by the plate.
Pot date is '73 for volume and '74 for tone. Tones are '74. Capacitors are also original.
The solder color is not different, so the electrical system seems to be almost all original.

The numerous scratches and stains that are characteristic of a long-ago instrument are a beauty that cannot be reproduced with processed products.

This is a rare Telecaster Custom that has not been seen very often in the market in recent years.
