USED Martin / D-18 1938 Custom 2005 [05]

A 2005 Martin D-18 1938 Custom is now in stock.

The D-18 has been loved for many years along with the D-28, which is synonymous with acoustic guitars.
Many people may recognize it as the D-28 with rosewood back and sides, and the D-18 with mahogany back and sides.

Although the D-18 is such a D-18, it is often evaluated as having a very pure sound as an acoustic guitar, and it is also a famous model as one of the destination guitars.

The D-18 we have in stock this time was made in 2005, and its specs are based on the famous guitars of the late 1930s, known as the "Golden Era" period.
It features a tight-grained adirondack spruce top, mahogany back, sides, and neck, ebony fingerboard and bridge, Waverly open-back pegs, Avalon dot fingerboard inlays, tortoiseshell pickguard, black binding, forward-shifted scalloped X bracing, approx. 43mm nut width, 25.5" scale, and V-neck shape.

This custom model is marked with the model name and serial number in gold plate on the neck block.

The entire body has minor scuffs and dings, and the metal parts are dull, but it is in very clean condition for a 2005 model.
The neck has a tendency to twist, but this is not a problem when playing, so it is presented as is.

This guitar is packed with specs that are rarely seen today. Please buy it and enjoy the good old Martin D-18.
