The Mustang bass was Fender's first short-scale bass.

The small size, short scale, and split coil pickups give it a unique sound and playability that has many fans, and it has a unique presence that makes it different from other student models.

This one is believed to have been made in 1971 based on the neck, POT, and serial.
It has a body without convention lines, a natural head, and a pearl pickguard, which is a characteristic of this period.

The nut has been raised, but the nut and frets appear to be original.
The pickguard has been deformed, which is characteristic of this period, and there are cracks near the screws. Also, the pickup height has been raised due to the deformation.
The neck pocket is shimmed to prevent the pickups from colliding with the strings.
The pickup date cannot be confirmed due to the pickguard deformation, but it is believed to be original as there is no solder modification.
Finger rest mounting holes have been added on the 4th string side.
There is a strap pin on the heel of the neck.
Overall, there are some signs of use such as paint chips and dents due to age and use.

The pickguard is deformed, but has been properly addressed, and the neck condition and playability are still good.
This is a guitar that has been used for a long time and has an excellent atmosphere. Please consider it.

フェンダー初のショートスケールベースとして登場したムスタングベース。

こぶりなサイズ感に仕上げられたデザインと、ショートスケール、スプリットコイルピックアップからなる独特なサウンド・演奏性にはファンも多く、単なるスチューデントモデルとは異なる独自の存在感を示しています。

こちらはネック・POT・シリアルから71年製と思われる一本。
この年代の特徴である、コンベンションラインの無いボディー、ナチュラルヘッド、パール柄のピックガードとなっております。

ナットの嵩上げが行われておりますが、ナット・フレットはオリジナルと思われます。
この時期のピックガード特有の変形が大きく発生しており、ネジ付近にクラックあり。また変形によってピックアップの高さが上がっております。
それに伴い、弦とピックアップがぶつかるのを回避するためにネックポケットにはシムが入っております。
ピックガード変形のためピックアップデイトの確認はできておりませんが、ハンダ修正はみられずオリジナルと思われます。
フィンガーレスト取り付け穴が4弦側に追加されております。
ネックヒールにストラップピンが取り付け跡がございます。
全体的に経年・使用に伴う塗装の欠けや打痕など使用感がございます。

ピックガードの変形などございますが、適切に対処がされており、ネックコンディションや演奏性に問題なくまだまだお使いいただける一本です。
使い込まれた雰囲気は抜群の一本。ご検討ください。
