A 1988 Pre-Gibson Tobias has arrived in amazing condition.

The Bartolini TQB (Quad-Input Buffer) reduces noise and delivers the pickup signal without loss; when paired with the company’s masterpiece, the TCT, it achieved this astonishing sound quality as early as the 1980s. Combined with the woodworking expertise of the genius Michael Tobias, this legendary instrument was born. The asymmetrical grip neck ensures stress-free fingering. The top features an impressive grain where flame and flake patterns coexist, while the back uses walnut to produce a tight midrange, achieving perfect tonal balance. The combination of the compact body and Bartolini’s electronics produces an incredibly deep sound even with a soft touch.
It retains a beauty that defies its nearly 40 years of age, with no visible scratches, dents, or other damage.

This is a 1988 creation by Michael Tobias, one of the most influential luthiers who, alongside Ken Smith and Fodera, brought the 6-string bass to the world.
