The Murphy Lab 1959 Les Paul Standard Light Aged has arrived.

This special M2M model recreates the golden age of the 1959 Les Paul Standard while featuring the Murphy Lab Light Aged finish and a carefully selected, hand-picked maple top.The top is crafted from carefully selected flame maple, and when paired with the Golden Poppy Burst finish, it creates a beautiful look that combines a vintage feel with a touch of glamour. In particular, the well-balanced grain pattern across the entire top is truly a sight to behold and is one of this guitar’s greatest attractions.

Weighing just 3.79 kg, it is exceptionally lightweight for a Les Paul, making it highly maneuverable. Yet, its sound lacks the thinness often associated with lighter instruments, delivering a powerful, full-bodied tone with a solid core. It offers excellent separation during chord playing, while single-note playing provides rich sustain and a tone with real presence.

The pickups consist of a CustomBucker Alnico 4 on the neck and a CustomBucker Overwound Alnico 4 on the bridge. The overwound bridge pickup is a defining feature of this model; it enhances the punch in the mid-to-low frequencies while maintaining excellent clarity, producing a sound with the characteristic Les Paul thickness and grit. It delivers lustrous harmonics in clean tones and a thick, powerful sound when driven.

Noteworthy features include its lightweight design at 3.79 kg and the beautiful flame maple top, a hallmark of hand-picked wood. This is an exceptionally appealing 1959 Les Paul Standard that boasts a high level of craftsmanship in every aspect: playability, sound, and appearance.

Because it has been aged, signs of use are hard to detect, but it is in excellent condition, nearly like new. Its appearance, playability, and sound are all impeccable.
