For customers residing in Japan
We’ve just received the Custom 22 with dot inlays in “Royal Blue Metal”—a metallic color rarely seen in the PRS lineup!

Compared to the Custom 24, the PRS “Custom 22” is extremely rare in the Japanese market and offers a distinct character and charm. While the Custom 24—a flagship model of PRS—is, of course, a masterpiece, this model features a 22-fret configuration, resulting in a different neck joint and pickup placement that delivers richer mid-to-low frequencies and a more musical tone. With a sound that combines brilliance and subtlety, it is one of PRS’s classic models that enjoys enduring support from many fans.

It features PRS’s classic wood combination: a maple top, mahogany back, mahogany neck, and rosewood fingerboard. This particular guitar is finished in a vibrant blue metallic color, which, combined with the high-quality grain typical of PRS, gives it a striking appearance.

Although the spec tag is missing, actual measurements show a nut width of 42.9 mm and a neck thickness of 20.9 mm near the first fret, making it highly likely that this guitar features the “Wide Thin” neck profile. Characterized by a wide yet relatively thin grip, it accommodates technical phrases and quick position changes with ease, delivering exceptional playability.

Both the front and rear pickups are PRS’s classic “Dragon II” models. Featuring Alnico 4 magnets, they offer vintage-like nuances reminiscent of McCarty-style pickups while also delivering moderate output and a powerful midrange. These highly versatile pickups produce a lustrous and expressive clean tone, and when driven, they deliver a powerful, well-defined sound.

Regarding the condition, there are signs of wear throughout, such as dents and scuffs, and the metal parts show some rust and tarnish. However, the playability is good, and there are no major practical issues, including with the neck and electronics. Since this Custom 22 in a metallic color is rarely seen on the market, if you’ve been looking for one, please be sure to consider this opportunity.
