Rare Model!! A 1978 Ibanez AR2680 has just arrived!!

This model was produced for only a short period, from 1976 to 1980.
Developed based on the Grateful Dead’s Bob Weir model, it features a distinctive ash body shape.
Different pieces of ash were used for the top and back: a two-piece center block for the top and a three-piece block for the back.

The neck is made of 3-piece rock maple—the same wood used in the Artist Series models from that era—and the fingerboard is ebony.
It is equipped with the company’s original Super 80 pickups.

This instrument exhibits signs of binding deterioration, a common issue found in older Ibanez products.
While it shows general signs of use, it is in good playing condition and is still very much a working instrument.
