Sugi is a high-end guitar brand that has earned high acclaim both domestically and internationally.
The instrument we’ve received is a special model commissioned by a music store.

The base model is the company’s DS496.
The body top features carefully selected exotic burl maple, while the body back is crafted from mahogany that has been aged for over 40 years since it was harvested.

This mahogany, which has been aged as musical instrument lumber for over 40 years, has a higher density than modern mahogany and is therefore a very rare and valuable material.

The neck is made of plain hard maple, known for its excellent rigidity, while the fingerboard is crafted from spalted maple.
Although spalted maple is generally considered brittle, Sugi’s exceptional craftsmanship and specialized processing techniques have achieved the durability and hardness necessary for use as a fingerboard.

While the gold hardware shows some signs of wear, such as a slight patina, the wood remains in beautiful condition.

The instrument comes with the original gig bag (which also serves as a certificate of authenticity), a tremolo arm, a truss rod wrench, and documentation.
