A 2002 Gibson Historic Collection 1957 Les Paul Standard Reissue Gold Top has arrived!!

The Historic Collection is produced by the Gibson Custom Shop as a “reissue series of legendary instruments” and is marketed as a top-tier lineup crafted with meticulous attention to detail.

The guitar we’ve received is a 2002 reissue of the 1957 Les Paul Standard.
It features the classic wood configuration: a maple top and mahogany back, paired with a mahogany neck and rosewood fingerboard.
It is equipped with 57 Classic pickups. These pickups, which faithfully reproduce the original humbucker pickups introduced in 1957—the year that inspired this model—are among the brand’s most popular.

The previous owner replaced the pots, capacitors, and wiring, and part of the jack plate is chipped due to a crack.
There are signs that a sticker was once applied over the Les Paul decal on the headstock, and these marks are visible under a blacklight.

With scratches and dents, the guitar shows signs of being thoroughly played over the years. Its appearance, marked by genuine aging over more than 20 years, possesses a unique beauty that can never be replicated by artificial means.

It comes with the original hard case, certificate of authenticity, and a box wrench for neck adjustment.
