A used multi-scale 6-string model from Ibanez’s EHB series—the pinnacle of Ibanez’s craftsmanship—has just arrived!

Ibanez is manufactured and operated by Hoshino Gakki. Having begun guitar production as far back as 1957, it is a long-established brand representing Japan. It has been particularly popular among metal and rock musicians.

The model we’ve just received is the EHB series, a signature headless model from Ibanez.
This model features a multi-scale neck, with the high-string side measuring 35 inches and the low-string side 32.5 inches—an asymmetrical design. The body is crafted from lightweight, carefully selected African mahogany, with a distinctive poplar burl top.The neck is constructed from a total of nine pieces of Panga Panga and walnut, and the fingerboard—equipped with 24 stainless steel frets—is also made of Panga Panga. Panga Panga is an extremely hard and durable wood known for its quick response. It belongs to the same family as Wenge.
The pickups feature Nordstrand, a brand highly regarded in the modern bass world today. Controls include 1 Volume, Balancer, Treble/Bass Boost/Cut, and Mid Boost/Cut, with a dedicated mid-frequency control. Additionally, a switch allows for active/passive mode selection. In passive mode, the Treble control functions as a tone control. This results in a highly versatile configuration.

The sound combines the deep, heavy bass typical of active systems with the sparkling high-end characteristic of modern basses. It doesn’t suffer from the lack of low-end often associated with headless designs, and even if you were to notice it, the EQ makes up for it, showcasing its versatility. The combination of Panga Panga wood and stainless steel frets works exceptionally well, and the fast, precise response never fails to impress, no matter when you play it.

It was manufactured in 2022, so it is relatively new. There is a small chip in the wood on the headstock and a linear dent on the horn, but overall, it shows minimal signs of use.
Additionally, due to an output issue, we had the manufacturer replace the volume pot, balancer pot, and rear pickup with genuine parts.
The neck is currently straight, and while the truss rod is set slightly tight, it functions well. At present, there are no issues that significantly compromise playability or appearance.

It’s perfect for metal and rock scenes, or for chord-based playing! This is an incredibly versatile and easy-to-handle guitar that will also shine in home recording!
