Fender Japan Stratocaster ST72-55, 1984–1987, manufactured by Fujigen.

This ST72 features a 1972-style large headstock, a modern logo, a three-point neck joint, and a bridge with die-cast saddles—all hallmarks of the 70s-style ST72. It features a basswood body, a one-piece maple neck, and GOTOH Rotomatic tuners.

This striking 70s-style model is characterized by its crisp, clean sound.

Signs of use are visible (color fading, sticker residue on the body top, minor scratches and scuffs, wear and playing lines, picking marks, tarnish and pitting on metal parts and screws, and other cosmetic damage).

The original soft case from that era has suffered hydrolysis of the internal padding, which may leave black powder on the guitar when stored.

The guitar was set up upon arrival (cleaning, string replacement, truss rod adjustment, octave adjustment, string height adjustment, and fret leveling). The frets are at a height that poses no issues for playing, and the truss rod has been checked to have approximately 20° remaining in the tightening direction, confirming it is in good working order.
