USED FENDER CUSTOM SHOP / MBS 1959 Telecaster Closet Classic White Blonde by Greg Fessler [06]

We are pleased to announce the arrival of a 1959 Telecaster made in 2021 by master builder Greg Fessler!
This is a Telecaster with ash body and rosewood fingerboard, which can be said to be the specialty of Greg Fessler, who has a long career at Fender Custom Shop and is also known as Robben Ford's full-time personal builder.

The body is made of luxurious one-piece ash, with a quarter-sawn maple neck and a slab-applied AAA rosewood fingerboard. The lightweight body and the rich color of the rosewood can only be achieved by a master builder's selection of materials.
The nut width is 1.65", and the neck shape is "60s Style Oval "C"", which feels slightly firmer than the specs. The fingerboard R is 9.5 inches and the frets are 6105 narrow-tool type, which is the mainstream style in recent years. The fretboard edge and fingerboard side treatment show the master builder's craftsmanship.

The pickups are hand-wound Twisted Tele Set by Josefina Campos, which produces a clear, powerful and crisp sound.
The bridge saddle is a triple brass type, which seems to affect the tight yet punchy low end.

The White Blonde finish, which is typical of an Ash Tele, is a "Closet Classic" lacquer finish, but "No weather checking, No wear on body" was specified at the time of the new order, and it appears that no weather checking or scratches on the body or any other relic treatment was performed. It appears that no weather checking or scratches have been applied to the body.
There are scratches on the body surface and pickguard from picking, dents with paint chips, buckle marks on the body back, and other minor scratches and dents. The hardware also has a "Closet Classic" finish, which is a dull finish from new, so we cannot determine rust or tarnish from use, but there are no problems with the operation of the screws or other parts.

This is a masterpiece of master builder Greg Fessler's skill, which shines through in the crisp sound that only an ash and slab-rose Tele can produce, the wide range that is not buried when distorted, and the sensitive response to the player's touch and picking nuance.
