The MUSIC MAN StingRay model with a short scale length! Long beloved for its powerful sound distinct from JB and PB types!
Compared to the regular 34-inch scale model, it features a body shape tailored to the 30-inch short scale, resulting in an overall compact design. With a nut width of 38.1mm, matching the JB type, it offers exceptional playability and maneuverability.
The neck, now standard on StingRay Special models, features stable Roasted Maple and stainless steel frets, showcasing meticulous attention to detail throughout.
The neodymium magnet humbucker pickups, the core of the StingRay sound, offer switchable modes: Parallel wiring for the quintessential StingRay tone, Single-Coil (Tap) for a raw, raw sound, and Series wiring for increased power. Despite being passive electronics—unusual for a StingRay—this allows selection of distinct sound types.
Additionally, the volume knob doubles as a gain boost switch via a push-push switch, allowing you to dial in a more powerful sound when needed!
The truss rod is tightened, and there are minor scratches and playing marks, but it's in relatively clean condition with no major, noticeable damage.
Cleaned and fully adjusted after arrival.
