The Gibson USA Steve Howe Signature ES-175 is now in stock as a used item!
This signature model is based on the 1964 ES-175D favored by Steve Howe, guitarist for the British progressive rock band "Yes."
It features a laminated maple top, sides, and back (approximately 16 inches wide), a one-piece mahogany neck, and a rosewood fingerboard.
It is equipped with a Gibson '57 Classic Humbucker pickup. The bridge features a Tune-O-Matic, and it faithfully reproduces the specifications of Howe’s ES-175, including the zigzag tailpiece—which had not been reissued since the 1960s—and Grover Rotomatic tuners.
Although the pickup selector switch is originally fitted with a Kluson-style knob, this instrument has been replaced with a standard switch cap. The original part is not included.
The overall condition shows weather checking of the finish near the body joint on the back, marks from the case lining near the tailpiece, several small dents on the right side of the body top, scratches near the jack, and other minor scuffs throughout.
The neck shows no significant warping or kinks, and the truss rod operates smoothly on both the left and right sides.
The electronics are also in good condition, with no visible solder repairs or other issues.
Otherwise, some tarnish is visible on the metal parts.
