USED ZILDJIAN / 1920s Constaintinople K 15.4inch Pair 1276/1418g Old K [08]

This is a set of two 15.4" pieces of K Zirjan, and by extension, the roots of the Zirjan company, produced in the former Constantinople (now Istanbul).
We assume that this was manufactured during the 1923-30 production period, since it is stamped MADE IN TUEKEY.
* I thought the stamp type might be STAMP4, but I could not identify it.

Of course, there was no concept of "hi-hat" at that time, so it was probably a kind of matching cymbal, and the center hole is about 9mm, so it cannot be used with the current HH stand.
However, considering its rarity, we are selling it as it is without any particular modification.

It is a little thicker, but it looks very interesting when used as a HH, and it is quite dark and has complex overtones and trashes due to the traditional hand-hammering process.
The complex overtones, trashy resonance, and rich tone that includes all ranges of sound, is definitely a sound with depth that would have been at the pinnacle of cymbal manufacturing methods of the time.
Even now, 100 years later, this cymbal still has an overwhelmingly majestic tone that will never fade away.

Miraculously for a cymbal of this generation, there is no hole shaving, no damage to the edges, and only a dull smudge, indicating that the cymbal must have been cared for quite well.
It would be extremely difficult to find a cymbal of this generation in this condition.
It is by no means a practical cymbal to use as is, but it is a very valuable cymbal in terms of cymbal history.
Conversion modification to HH is also recommended (please consult with us about this).
