＜Yamaha's Traditional V-Shaped Head＞

Inherits the original Yamaha FG headstock shape, adorned with a tuning fork-inspired logo. The truss rod cover is engraved with "Since 1966," signifying the origins of Yamaha guitars.

＜Solid Sitka spruce Top＞

The body top features A.R.E.-treated solid Sitka spruce. This achieves a rich, resonant tone reminiscent of a well-played guitar, even though it's brand new. The cohesive sound is ideal for chord strumming or rhythmic fingerstyle playing.

＜Solid Mahogany for the Sides and Back＞

Solid mahogany is used for the sides and back. This delivers the warm, rich midrange characteristic of mahogany.

＜Bone Nut and Saddle＞

The nut and saddle are made of cow bone (Grade #5 only). Cow bone is extremely hard, enabling more effective sound transmission from the strings to the neck and body. Installing and adjusting a cow bone nut requires high skill; each is meticulously crafted one by one in Japan by skilled guitar craftsmen.

＜Proprietary Scalloped Bracing＞

To achieve an ideal warm tone, we combine virtual prototyping using the latest acoustic simulation technology with physical woodworking prototypes, refining the design through repeated improvements. Compared to the scalloped bracing used in the FG/FS#800 series, this bracing is optimized for the inherent characteristics of the wood and tailored to the specific FG and FS models, achieving further enhancement of the low-end response.

＜A.R.E. (Acoustic Resonance Enhancement) Processing＞

Yamaha's proprietary Acoustic Resonance Enhancement (A.R.E.) is applied to the top plate. By precisely controlling temperature, humidity, and atmospheric pressure, it rapidly induces changes similar to those occurring in wood over many years after cutting. This enhances sound transmission and vibration efficiency, promoting extended mid-to-low frequencies, faster attack of high frequencies, and quicker decay.The A.R.E. treatment yields a well-balanced, mature, warm sound with fewer harsh overtones, creating a tone reminiscent of a guitar played for years.

<Featuring the Newly Developed "Atmosfeel" Pickup System>

The newly developed Atmosfeel 3-Way Pickup System employs three distinct pickups: an under-saddle piezo sensor captures mid-to-low frequencies, a microphone integrated into the preamp handles low frequencies, and a proprietary, ultra-thin contact sensor captures high frequencies, ensuring precise capture across all frequency ranges.

＜Simple and Highly Operable Controller Section＞

The Atmosfeel controller section allows for easy tone shaping by blending the pickups with extremely simple operation. The master volume knob adjusts subtle tonal expression, while the mic blend knob adds body resonance. The Bass EQ controller allows adjustment of the peak EQ.
