USED Martin / 000-42 Custom w/Active PickUp [1996]

The Style 42 was created around 1858.
The original 000-42 was produced from 1918-43 and reissued in 2004.
The 1939 000-42 used by Eric Clapton in "Unplugged" is so famous.

This one was custom-ordered before it was reissued in 2004.
The all solid body has a spruce top, rosewood side/back, mahogany neck, and ebony fingerboard/bridge.
Scalloped X-bracing is applied, and the neck is V-shaped with a nut width of 44.5mm and 24.9" scale.
The pegs are equipped with open backs with Martin logo.
The gorgeous Avalon inlay on the top of the body, the snowflake inlay on the fingerboard, the vertical logo on the head, and the Avalon Dot on the bridge pin give the Style 42 a gorgeous look.

The guitar was in a very tired condition when it first arrived in Japan, but it has been beautifully restored by a well-known guitar workshop!
Neck angle adjustment, fingerboard adjustment, fret replacement (Jescar Vintage), nut and saddle replacement (ox bone), binding gluing, bridge crimping, back bracing gluing, and fingerboard end binding missing, newly made and glued.
In addition, there were cracks on both sides of the body top from the end of the fingerboard to the soundhole, which have been repaired and the cracks have been sealed.
In addition, the gap at the heel of the neck has been glued.

There are some minor dents and scratches.
There are repair marks around the bridge and the pickguard has been re-glued or replaced.
The cell binding on the side of the fingerboard has shrunk over time, causing a gap from the nut.
The cell binding around the fingerboard on the top of the body has some distortion and peeling of the clear paint.

The sound is very pleasant!
Tight bass, clear treble, and comfortable sustain!
Active pickups are installed and can be plugged into an amp right away. (There are no controls such as Volume and Tone, so please adjust them on the amp side.)
