Along with the Martin D-28, probably the most famous acoustic guitar in the world, the D-18 is a vintage series Martin D-18V, reproducing prewar (circa 1939-1940) specifications.

Adjustable rod is equipped and finished in vintage style color. Sitka spruce top, mahogany sides and back, forward-shifted X-bracing, Modified V-shaped select hardwood neck, 648mm (25.5") scale/406mm (16") R/about 43.4mm nut, rosewood fingerboard and bridge, long saddle, and open back pegs with butterbean knobs.

The D-18 is loved by many for its sparkling and lustrous sound, and is recommended for both fingerpickers and strokers with its rich sound and mid-range characteristic of the Dorret Note.

The bridge pin has been replaced, and there are repair marks on the top of the body to stop the bridge from cracking. There are some signs of use (color fading, dents on the top and outer edge of the body, scratches around the body, bumps on the binding at the end, scuffs and scratches from playing, picking marks, buckle marks, shine on the back of the neck from playing, scratches on the back of the neck near the heel and 9th fret, guitar hanger marks on the side of the head, cloudy metal parts and screws, and scratches on the back of the neck from playing. There are some exterior damages such as fogging and pits on metal parts and screws.

The fret board has been set up (cleaning, string replacement, rod adjustment, octave adjustment, string height adjustment, fret adjustment, and fret board adjustment) upon arrival.

ブリッジピン交換、ボディトップのブリッジ下部割れ止め補修痕あり。使用感(色ヤケ、ボディトップや外周エッジに打痕、ボディ廻り当てキズ、エンド部バインディング段差、スレや弾きスジ、ピッキング痕、バックル痕、弾き込みによるネック裏ツヤ、ネック裏のネックヒール部及び9フレット部付近に当てキズ、ヘッド脇ギターハンガー痕、金属パーツやネジ類の曇り・ピッツ、等々の外観ダメージ)が見られます。

入荷時にセットアップ(クリーニング・弦交換・ロッド調整・オクターブ調整・弦高調整・フレットすり合わせ・割れ止め)済み、フレット山は演奏に問題ない高さがあり、トラスロッドは締める方向・緩める方向調整可能で±60°まで動作確認済みです。
