USED Gibson / Dove Natural [1991]

The advanced Gibson Dove model was introduced after the release of the Hummingbird, which was created in 1962 from the Kalamazoo factory. It is still a very popular square-shouldered dreadnought acoustic guitar model.

It has a solid spruce top, flame maple sides and back, 3-piece maple neck, rose fingerboard and bridge, and 25.5" scale/1.68" nut.

It has the looks of yesteryear, with the striking pickguard dove and parallelogram inlays on the fingerboard, and still retains a crisp, bright sound.

The pegs have been replaced with open-gear GOTOH SX510s, and there are crack repairs on the top of the body under the bridge and on the shoulder of the 6th string side. There are some signs of use (weather cracks, scratches on the head end and outer edge of the body, color burns, rough paint on the body back and back of the neck, scuffs and scratches from playing, shaved sound hole from strokes, picking marks, buckle marks, missing wooden end pins, cloudy metal parts and screws, and other exterior damages). There are some exterior damages.

The fret board has been set up (cleaning, string replacement, rod adjustment, fret adjustment, string height adjustment, and installation of 6 x anti-cracking screws) upon arrival. The fret board is high enough to play well, and the truss rod can be tightened or loosened up to ±60° (slightly tight).
