This is a 1950's era WFL era Radic No. 470 snare drum, the predecessor to the "AUDITORIUM" in the 1960's.

The shell is a 3ply mahogany/poplar shell with a maple reinforcement.
This is Radik's original shell of this era. There was no inner coating in this period.
The covering has been rewound later with black diamond covering, and the hoop has been replaced (manufacturer unknown, not Raddick, made of steel).
The switch appears to have been replaced with a 60's P-86, and the butt has been replaced with a P-32.
Also, the inner mute appears to have been removed.

The original shell is from the 50's WFL era.
The 14x6.5 wood shell is very rare, and the sound is fatter and has a lower center of gravity than the 5" model.
The sound is fat and has a lower center of gravity than the 5" model.

There is no damage to the shell and no other parts are in good condition.
Some parts are not original, but they do not affect the use.
There are some minor scratches and stains commensurate with its age, but it can still be used well.

1950年年代のWFL時代のラディックのNo.470スネアドラムで、60年代でいうところの「AUDITORIUM」の前身になるモデルです。

シェルは3plyのマホガニー/ポプラのシェルにメイプルレインフォースメントの
この時代のラディック独自のシェルです。インナー塗装もない時代です。
カバリングは後からブラックダイヤのカバリングが巻きなおされており、フープも交換されています(メーカー不明、ラディックではないですスチール製)
スイッチも60年代P-86に交換されているようです、バットもP-32に交換されています。
またインナーミュートは取り外されているようです。

このようにカスタムされたポイントも多いですが、元のシェルはれっきとした50年代WFL時代のもの。
14x6.5のウッドシェルは希少性も高く、サウンドも5インチモデルよりファットで重心の低い印象。
いなたい印象でやや枯れた感じが心地よい、オールドラディックらしいサウンドです。

特にシェルの激しいダメージ他、パーツの不具合はなく、プレイヤーズコンディション。
パーツ類が一部オリジナルではないですが使用には差し支えないものです。
年式相応の細かい傷、汚れはございますがまだまだ十分お使いいただけます。
