USED KAMAKA / HF-1D (White Label / Manufactured in the 1970s–80s / Vintage) Kamaka Soprano Ukulele [08]

A Kamaka Soprano Ukulele from the White Label Era!

Founded in 1916, Kamaka Ukulele of Hawaii is still known today as one of the most popular ukulele brands.
This is a model from the White Label era of the 1970s–90s, featuring the labels "HANDCRAFTED" and "MADE IN HONOLULU HAWAII U.S.A."
Even within the White Label era, the label printing, soundhole size, and shape of the fingerboard end varied over time.
Based on the specifications, it is believed to have been manufactured between the mid-1970s and mid-1980s.
The body, neck, fingerboard, and bridge are all made of Hawaiian koa.
It has a nut width of approximately 35mm and a scale length of 340–345mm, with wood binding on the body top.
* The tuning pegs have been replaced.
* The frets appear to have been replaced. While they are currently set low, this does not affect playability.

Serviced at a renowned guitar workshop.
The peeling at the end of the fingerboard has been repaired.
The crack running from the fingerboard end (between the 1st and 2nd strings) to the soundhole has been glued and reinforced.
The center of the top (from the soundhole to the body end) has been glued and treated to prevent further cracking.
The crack in the end block has been glued.

* There is also a crack in the center of the back, but there is a center strip and evidence of previous gluing.

Overall, there are dents, scuffs, scratches, and paint chips.
While there are significant signs of use and repair marks, playability is good.

The crisp sound creates a refreshing atmosphere characteristic of Kamaka.
The well-balanced midrange is also very pleasant!
Condition Grade: B: Shows significant wear and scratches, but is perfectly functional for normal use
