1960年代中期-後期ごろの、ARTIST MODELと呼ばれるスネアドラム。
この「アーティストモデル」はスイッチが「ズーマチック」タイプで、スイッチ周りがシンプルな構造になっております(ある意味使いやすいです)
こちらの個体は3plyのウッドシェルを採用しており(ソリッドも初期の頃にはありましたが、こちら3プライです)
メイプル/ポプラ/マホガニーシェルに厚手のメイプルレインフォースメントの60年代らしい構造です。
フープもオリジナルのブラス製スティックセイバーフープで、こちらも相まって、スリンガーランドらしいリッチな倍音、芯の太いサウンドをお楽しみいただけるスネア。
シリアルは149569で、60年代後期ごろの生産分であるかと思われます。
主要パーツもほぼオリジナルですが、スナッピーはカノウプス製に交換しております。
クリーニングは施してありますが、古いレモヘッドのコンディションが良かったので、そのままにしております。
年式相応にパーツの傷、ピッツなどもありますがカバリングもそれほど劣化しておらず、サウンドは実に良好、まだまだ十分問題なくお使いいただけるコンディションです。

This snare drum is called "ARTIST MODEL" and was made in the mid to late 1960s.
This "Artist Model" has a "Zumatic" type switch and a simple structure around the switch (easy to use in a sense).
This one has a 3ply wood shell (solid was also available in the early days, but this one is 3ply).
It has a maple/poplar/mahogany shell with thick maple reinforcement, which is typical of the 60's. The hoop is also made of the original brass stickseed.
The hoop is also an original brass stick saver hoop, and together with this snare, you can enjoy the rich overtones and thick core sound typical of Slingerlands.
The serial number is 149569, and it is believed to have been produced in the late 60s.
The main parts are almost original, but the snappy has been replaced with a Canopus snappy.
It has been cleaned, but the old remo head was in good condition, so we have left it as is.
The sound is really good, and it is still in good enough condition to use without any problems.
