つや消しゴールドラベル期のスタンダード(ソプラノ)ウクレレです。
1916年に創業したハワイのカマカ・ウクレレは現在も最もポピュラーなウクレレブランドとして知られています。
こちらはつや消しのGoldラベル(斜体のHawaiian Handmade印字)が貼られており、指板・サドルも搭載されているので1960年代前半から艶ありGoldラベルになる前の間に生産されてものと思われます。
オール・ハワイアンコアボディ、ハワイアンコアネック、ローズウッド指板/ブリッジ。
ナット幅約37mm、約345mmスケール、12フレット仕様。
* フレットは交換されています。
* 2弦ペグが交換されています。
経年によりTopに歪みがございます。(サウンドホール側がTop落ち)
ペグ交換跡・取り外し跡が残っており、少なくとも2弦ペグは交換されていますが、他弦のペグは本当にオリジナルかどうかは定かではありません。
塗装の経年変化、全体的に細かな打痕、ネック裏の引っかき傷等、Vintage相応の使用感はございますが、プレイアビリティは問題ありません。
製造から約60年の時を経て、カラッと鳴る涼し気なサウンドが心地よく響きます。

Standard (soprano) ukulele from the brushed gold label period.
Founded in 1916, Kamaka Ukulele is still one of the most popular ukulele brands in Hawaii.
This one has a matte Gold label (Hawaiian Handmade printing in italics) and is equipped with a fretboard and saddle, so it was probably produced in the early 1960s before the glossy Gold label was applied.
All Hawaiian Koa body, Hawaiian Koa neck, rosewood fingerboard/bridge.
Approx. 37mm nut width, 345mm scale, 12 fret specification.
* Fretboard has been replaced.
* 2nd string pegs have been replaced.
There is distortion on the top due to age. (Top is down on the sound hole side).
There are marks of peg replacement and removal. At least the 2nd string peg has been replaced, but it is not certain if the pegs of other strings are really original or not.
There are some signs of use such as paint aging, minor dents and scratches on the back of the neck, etc., but playability is not a problem.
After about 60 years of production, the cool, crisp sound is pleasantly resonant.
The response is also quintessential!
