ギルドのD-40が中古にて入荷！
1963年に誕生したギルドギターを代表するモデルの1つ、D-40。
1987年にはスネークヘッドになり、1992年に一旦生産完了となります。
1999年には再生産が開始され、スケールは25-1/2"から25-5/8"となり、2004年に生産完了となります。
そして、2006年には25-1/2"スケール、べっ甲柄バインディング仕様で再生産されています。
本器は、おそらく1999-2004年までに生産されていた個体と思われます。
Made in USA
ドレッドノートShapeのボディですが、くびれ部分に特徴があるのがギルド。
オールソリッドボディで、Topはスプルース、Side/Backはマホガニーです。
TopにはXブレーシング(Shaved)を施し、ローズウッドブリッジを装着。
42mm強ナット幅、25-5/8"スケールのマホガニーNeckにはローズウッド指板を貼っています。
ヘッドにはGrover製ロトマチックペグを装着。
オールグロスフィニッシュ。
HIGHLANDER IP-2が搭載されていますが、現状アンダーサドルのみで拡張はされていません。(アクティブ・エレアコ仕様、コントロール類はなし)
著名ギター工房にてメンテナンス済み！
ブリッジ剥がれ修正、Neck角度調整、指板修正、フレット交換(Jescar vintage)、ナット/サドル交換(牛骨)済みです。
トラスロッドは左右60度まで確認済みにて問題なく、フレットは交換済みのため充分残っています。
ボディSide(6弦側)くびれ部分にクラック修正跡(タッチアップ)が見られます。* 全体的にオーバーラッカーの可能性があります。
経年による塗装引きが見られます。打痕・擦り傷・引っかき傷などが散在しています。
使用感、経年変化、修理跡はございますが、プレイアビリティは良好です。
ミッドレンジ豊かなラウドで力強いサウンドが魅力的！秀逸なサスティーンもGreat!!

A used Guild D-40 has arrived!
The D-40, introduced in 1963, is one of Guild Guitars’ signature models.
It adopted the "Snakehead" design in 1987 and was discontinued in 1992.
Production resumed in 1999, with the scale length changing from 25-1/2" to 25-5/8", and production ended again in 2004.
Then, in 2006, it was reissued with a 25-1/2" scale and tortoiseshell-pattern binding.
This instrument is believed to have been produced between 1999 and 2004.
Made in the USA
Although it has a Dreadnought-shaped body, Guild guitars are characterized by their distinctive waist.
It has an all-solid body with a spruce top and mahogany sides and back.
The top features X-bracing (shaved) and a rosewood bridge.
The mahogany neck has a nut width of just over 42 mm and a 25-5/8" scale length, and is fitted with a rosewood fingerboard.
The headstock is equipped with Grover Rotomatic tuners.
It has an all-gloss finish.
It is equipped with a HIGHLANDER IP-2 pickup, but currently only the under-saddle pickup is active; it has not been upgraded. (Active electro-acoustic configuration; no controls)
Serviced at a renowned guitar workshop!
The bridge has been repaired, the neck angle adjusted, the fingerboard corrected, and the frets replaced (Jescar vintage), and the nut and saddle have been replaced (cowbone).
The truss rod has been checked up to 60 degrees in both directions and is functioning properly; the frets have been replaced and there is ample remaining life.
There are signs of crack repair (touch-up) on the body’s waist (6th string side). * There is a possibility that the entire guitar has been over-lacquered.
There is some paint shrinkage due to age. There are scattered dents, scuffs, and scratches.
While there are signs of wear, aging, and repair marks, playability is excellent.
Its loud, powerful sound with rich midrange is captivating! The superb sustain is also great!!
